Dale Jenkins became our Pastor in January of 1998. He now has 28 years of experience-- twenty three as a Senior Pastor, and five as an associate. He puts that all to use both as pastor and mentor to new leaders. Pastor Dale has been involved in Southern Baptist Churches since he was a child. When he was eight years old, a deacon, J.P. Martindale, led him to Jesus. In Pastor's own words...

"Explaining that he had purchased an ink pen with the specific purpose of giving it to me, with his hand outstretched, he asked, 'When does the pen become yours?' I realized it became mine, very simply, when I believed and reached out to take hold of it. The gift of Salvation is very much like that. Christ has purchased our forgiveness and offered our salvation as a free gift.  When we extend our faith, Christ saves our souls and forgives us of our sin."
Rom 10:9-10  that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

"When I was 14, I again heard the call of Christ, to serve as a minister. Going to the Pastor, I surrendered to that call. Rev. Russell Ward, in his wisdom, encouraged and instructed the Youth Pastor to keep me involved. After moving from home, I took a road too often traveled, and ran from the Lord of my youth."

"In 1974, Penny Gail Harrison accepted my proposal of marriage and on December 6th, became my wife and life-long partner. With the prayers of my mother, and my loving young wife, at 23 I turned back to Jesus. Renewing my surrender, I began training under a mentoring pastor, William Jones, at Tupman Baptist Church in  Southern California.

Pastor Dale's desire is to be a helper to "The Shepherd" of the flock, JESUS.  Following Jesus' words, direction, and inspiration, the hope is to keep Jesus' flock growing and serving in Kingdom work, knowing that only through a continuing work of the Holy Spirit and His forgiveness will we be able to serve Jesus.  Pastor Dale hopes to share as he experiences that same help, so that we all may serve Jesus faithfully.

Pastor Dale has also become Chaplain Dale Jenkins, serving both the Airway Heights Police Department and Fire Department. Reaching out not only to the those faithful hero's that serve the community, also to the community responding to victims when a difficult situation occurs. Pastor Dale counts it a privilege to serve the community.
